Daniel Villamizar is a Colombian film director and cinematographer with a poetic and sensory gaze. His work explores affective memory, the body, and territory through narratives that oscillate between lyrical documentary and fiction — constructing stories where the visual, the sonic, and the tactile intertwine.
With over seven years of experience, he has developed projects between Colombia, Belgium, France, and Turkey, collaborating with channels such as Canal 13 and RTVC. His technical approach is complemented by artistic research influenced by poetic thought and sensory imagery.
He was recently selected for the Notodofilmfest / MadridIberlab residency, where he produced his latest short film. He constantly seeks to collaborate on auteur cinema projects and experimental narratives that challenge formats and value a unique visual signature.
